Diagnostic Studies

Research evaluating diagnostic approaches and procedures to gauge the effectiveness of new or established methods and look for ways to improve accuracy and timeliness of diagnosing a specific condition.

Etiological Studies

These studies are conducted in response to the appearance of a condition within a population. Etiological studies attempt to identify primary factors and secondary factors that cause the development of a condition. Some of the characteristics they research are personal susceptibility traits or behaviors, occupational hazards, and environmental factors can lead to development.

Therapy Studies

Often used for studying medications, these studies test or compare the effectiveness of both new and established medical treatments. These studies include comprehensive analysis of participants, before, during, and after treatment in an effort to draw firm conclusions regarding different therapies.
