Following is a list of U.S. Navy Battleships commissioned from the 1930s through the 1970s. These ships contained a variety of asbestos-containing products. Exposure to these products can cause asbestos-related diseases including pleural disease, asbestosis, lung cancer and mesothelioma. None of the battleships listed below remain on active duty.
